NPOWER

OCTOBER 2007 - ONGOING

Image of nPower work.

Details

I have been at npower for some years now having started here as a contractor. I have worked on simple things such as landing pages, general website updates through to entire micro sites and a number of major projects.

I use Dreamweaver for coding my XHTML and CSS but sometimes have to use Visual Studio, this depends on the project. We also use a CMS here which has its good and bad points.

ICANLEARN

DECEMBER 2009

Image of I Can Learn work.

Details

Great freelance project to work on as it allowed me to work on a large website outside the confines of a CMS, it also allowed me to use Jquery properly for the first

The website was an interactive learning centre for children where parents could assign them educational tasks and reward there completion.

Portfolio of work for a web designer I have done previous work with (Spanish Country Cottages and Turia Valley). Interesting to work on someone else's portfolio as I always have trouble with my own.

3SIXTYDISPLAYS

AUGUST 2007

Image of 3 sixty displays work.

Details

My first 'real' job after finishing Uni, I was asked to create a logo for 3 Sixty Displays and if they were happy I would be allowed to create their web presence for them.

They were happy with what I created for them and so I built a showcase for their work and a way for prospective clients to find out more about the company. I coded using XHTML and CSS and built a Flash portfolio for them, after having been at npower for some time I rebuilt the site and the portfolio (now in Jquery) as I had learnt so much since I first worked here.
